Established in 1906 Wigan Hockey Club has been based at Wigan Sports Club since 1987. The club has traditionally produced top level players and coaching staff that have participated at regional and international levels. We currently have 2 Ladies Team’s and 3 Men’s Team’s along with establishing junior teams. Currently both Men’s and Ladies 1st XI Squads compete in the North Regional Leagues which are the feeder leagues to National League. Wigan Hockey Club has also held the Guinness World Record up until this year, for the Longest Hockey Match in the world which lasted an incredible 25 hours. The current record stands at 27 hours and we are going to attempt a new record in 2013.

As a club we are very sociable and therefore host many social events throughout the season and off season for both new and existing members. We welcome any new members to Wigan Hockey Club regardless of ability or age to take part in training sessions, matches, festivals and tournaments. Junior Training Sessions – Wednesday’s 6pm-7pm

Adult Training Sessions – Wednesday’s 7pm-8.30pm

Juniors are welcome to stay and practice with the adults if they wish to do so.
